Case Details
22 year old female from Pennsylvania before and immediately after labiaplasty and clitoral hood reduction performed by Dr Sam Gershenbaum. There are different techniques for these procedures. Dr Gershenbaum prefers the triangular wedge technique for its nerve sparing and natural results. A clitoral hood reduction can also be performed in different ways, such as in exposing more of the clitoris, or more simple reduction of the surrounding soft tissues. A simple lateral reduction of the soft tissues was chosen for this case. The obvious swelling right after the procedure will resolve during the healing process. The incisions will heal without visible scars. There is very minimal discomfort with this procedure, with most patients having no pain at all.
