55 year old woman from Miami, Florida 3 1/2 months after exchange of implants, partial right capsulectomy and Strattice Acellular Dermal Matrix for correction of capsular contracture performed by Dr Sam Gershenbaum. She had saline implants placed in 2003, 315cc right and 350cc left with a subsequent right capsular contracture and asymmetry. She requested repair of her capsular contracture, in which Strattice was used. Strattice ACDM has an over 90 percent success rate in correcting capsular contracture. She also requested an increase in size to 415cc high profile cohesive silicone gel implants. Her breasts are soft and she is extremely happy with her wonderful results.

54 year old female from Miami Beach, Florida 3 months after breast implant revision / correction of deformity performed by Dr Sam Gershenbaum. 48 year old female from Del Ray Beach, Florida four months after exchange of her breast implants with correction of her capsular contracture performed by Dr Sam Gershenbaum. She presented with bilateral capsular contracture with both breasts hard and painful and the implants displaced high in each breast. She had bilateral full capsulectomies, Strattice interposition and exchange of her implants from 325cc to 275cc smooth, round moderate plus silicone gel implants. The new implants were properly positioned. The Strattice is porcine dermis that is sewn all along the border of the pectoral muscle, to be wrapped over and around the new implant in replacing the old hardened capsule. This keeps the breast soft and prevents the capsular contracture from recurring. Her breast are now very soft and fully natural in appearance. She is extremely happy with her results.

54 year old female from Hollywood, Florida 5 months after exchange of implants to smaller size with capsulectomies and a breast lift (mastopexy) performed by Dr Sam Gershenbaum. She presented with subglandular 550cc implants, ruptured on the left as well as Baker III capsular contracture and sagging of her breasts. Her breasts were hard and uncomfortable. Full intact capsulectomies were performed with exchange of implants to 330cc placed now under the muscle along with a bilateral breast lift. The photo shows her ruptured implant along with very calcified capsules. Now, five months later, her breasts are soft, comfortable and a more appropriate size.
